The chemical composition of dolomite is CaMg(CO3)2, and the crystal belongs to the trigonal carbonate mineral. The crystal structure of dolomite is similar to that of calcite. The crystal form is rhombohedral. The crystal face is often bent into a saddle shape. The polycrystalline twin crystal is common, and it is mostly in the form of massive or granular aggregates. Pure dolomite is white, and it is sometimes grayish green, grayish yellow, pink, etc. due to other elements and impurities, and the glass is lustrous. The three sets of rhombohedrons are completely cleaved and brittle. Mohs hardness of 3.5-4, specific gravity of 2.8-2.9. The mineral powder reacts slowly in cold dilute hydrochloric acid.
Dolomite powder is processed via grinding. The production line is equipped with jaw crusher, cone crusher, Raymond mill, elevator, vibrating feeder, classifier and piping systems.
Crushing: Raw dolomite goes through primary crushing by jaw crusher and secondary crushing by cone crusher, to obtain qualified feed material for grinding.
Screening: Crushed materials are screened by vibrating screens to control particle size and protect the mill.
Grinding: Qualified materials are conveyed to the silo, then fed into the Raymond mill for fine grinding.
Classification & Discharging: Ground powder is classified. Off-spec material is re-ground, while qualified dolomite powder is delivered to the finished silo and transported for delivery.
To cater to specific material characteristics and meet customer requirements, SBM provides a range of grinding mills, including the MTM, MTW, LM, LUM, and SCM series.
To ensure environmentally friendly production, various measures are implemented, including the adoption of dust removers and sealing at each component.
SBM's solutions are highly automated, characterized by the utilization of a centralized control platform. This allows for the monitoring and effective control of the entire production process, resulting in significant savings in labor costs.
